Carved marble torso circa 1930 possibly American, unsigned, from a New England collector with Yale University connections.
Together with a wood base.
Dimensions: Height of marble alone is 24 inches by 10 inches in width by 12 inches in depth. Height of wood base alone is 30 inches

Antoine-Louis Barye (French 1795-1875) " Tigre Qui Marche ", ( avec plinthe rectangulaire ) a very rare version signed BARYE, inscribed F. BARBEDIENNE FOUNDEUR, and with gold FB stamp on base. Bronze,with spectacular mid green patina over a mid brown. Cast between 1876-1889. Inscribed on the underside in ink 5596 and siu . nl ? and also stamped on the underside 44 AA. (The plaster for the model is in the Walters Art Gallery Baltimore.)

Eugène Antoine Aizelin ( French 1821-1902)"L'Enfance De Tacite", Monumental Bronze sculpture Inscribed F.BARBEDIENNE FONDEUR. The bronze is illustrated on page 43 of the 1886 Barbedienne catalogue and was sold at their Gallery, 30,Boulevard Poissonniere,
Paris. Barbedienne edited the sculpture in 5 sizes, this being the
largest and the rarest ,with an original price in 1886 of 2000FF. Provenance - from the collection of Frank "Lucky" Navin (1871-1935) . Owner of the Detroit Tigers Baseball Team for 32 years
