Max Klinger (German, 1857-1920) A life size bronze sculpture of "Badende"( Bather)  Black / green patinaed bronze .  Signed and with the foundry inscription of H.Gladenbeck & Sohn foundry Berlin and numbered 3.
This sculpture is from an edition of five numbered casts authorized by Max Klinger in 1903,  from the marble original now in the Leipzig Museum he carved in 1898. The model for the sculpture was Elsa Asenijeff, Max Klinger 's model and his long-standing unofficial companion .

Richard Kauffungen (Austrian, 1854-1942) A Vienna bronze sculpture of Leonardo da Vinci (1452 –1519). The base of the sculpture depicts elements of his work, an artist's palate with brushes, a large note book, an art folio for his drawings and a bronze architectural column. Superb quality bronze cast with a light brown patination and darker contrasting highlights. The bronze is fitted to a dark green/ black marble base. Leonardo da Vinci is titled in the bronze at his feet also signed by the artist. Richard Kauffungen was an accomplished sculptor in marble. His work with Franz Xaver Messerschmidt and Caspar Zumbusch may be viewed at the University Palace of Vienna. Kauffungen wrote books on sculpture and was a highly sought after portrait sculptor from 1890 to the late1920's in Vienna . He worked mainly on commissions and it is rare to find a historical sculpture in his oeuvre.

Vincenzo Alfano (Italian 1854-1918) "David". Bronze sculpture signed, dated 1887 and inscribed Napoli. Another identical example was Exhibited in Venice in 1887 and was bought by the National Gallery of Rome for their permanent collection. The sculpture also won The Prix du Concours of Naples 1901. Alfano is recognised as the most important sculptor of The Italian Realist School.
In 1902 he moved to New York and his stone sculptures can be seen on buildings in New York, Coney Island, Maine and also in Philadelphia. Superb quality lost wax casting.

Circa 1851 bronze sculpture of Lucretia with foundry signature for Thiebaut Frères. Cast Second half of the 19th century.
Victor Thiébaut established a foundry devoted to works of art in 1851. At the beginning, they cast raw bronzes that they gave to Barbedienne or other founders to finish. Then Victor Thiébaut went into patrnership with various famous sculptors: David d'Angers, Carpeaux, Falguière, Carrier-Belleuse, Paul Dubois or Pradier.  In 1898, Rodin signed a contract with this company regarding the casting of two of his works in different sizes: /Saint John the Baptist /and /Triumphant youth/. In 1901, Victor Thiébaut sold the firm to Gasne and retired.

Charles William Ayton (American Born around 1879) "O-kiku-san" Madame Chrysantheme.   Ayrton was an American sculptor from St Louis MO, Studied in Paris and exhibited at the 1904 Great Exhibition of St Louis.  This bronze is inspired by the exotic book Madame Chrysantheme by Pierre Loti of 1887 . Superb green/ brown patina, signed and inscribed Paris and with foundry marks for Barbedienne Fondeur.

George Flamand (French circa 1890), A large and impressive Art Nouveau bronze gilded jardiniere with original lead liner) . Signed and titled "La Chene et le Roseau de la Fontaine" (The Oak,the Reed and the Fountain)
